As the tide inevitably ebbs, so certain conditions are best left to work themselves out.

Ever since 2003 when I first started studying at A.U.T, I have had the privilege of being mentored by one of the most highly regarded leaders of Ngai Tūhoe - Chaz Doherty.  Each time we visit Chaz and his whanau in Te Ureweras we are reminded of the values and philosophy of tikanga Māori. This time when we visited, I truly understood what it means to have these values and philosophies immortalized in the form of tā moko.
